VISIT OF PROF. ELŻBIETA PAWLIKOWSKA-ASENDRYCH AND DR BEATA RUSEK TO RPTU IN LANDAU/ GERMANY

In January 2023, the University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany) ceased to exist. Since 1 January this year, the University of Landau together with the Technical University of Kaiserlauter have formed the new academic unit Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität (RPTU). On 03.07-07.07.2023, prof. Elżbieta Pawlikowska-Asendrych, Head of the Institute of Linguistics and dr Beata Rusek, Erasmus+ Coordinator of the Faculty of Humanities, visited STT within the Erasmus + programme. During this time, they not only got to know the new structure of the university, but also had the opportunity to observe didactic activities and conduct many valuable conversations with Mrs. Jutta Bohn (International Office) and Manuela Roth (Welcome Center). In addition to the formal aspects of cooperation between our universities, meetings with employees of German philology (Dr. Georg Albert, Anne Diehr), English philology (Dr. Berdt Engelhardt, Dr. Monika Reif) and the faculty of art (Prof. Tina Stolt, Karin Flurer-Brünger, Rainer S. Kaufmann), which focused on the development of scientific cooperation, joint research projects and scientific internships, were extremely important. An inspiring experience was participation in the ceramics festival at the Faculty of Art, which takes place only once a year. Each student can then burn their works in specially prepared furnaces. The culmination of the stay was a meeting with JDU students who are currently studying at RPTU. This semester, our university in Landau is represented by seven students: Lena Głogowska from the Faculty of Art and Martyna Ociepa, Wiktoria Rajczyk, Natalia, Kielanowska, Paulina Witczak, Adrian Jagieła and Michał Zając from the Faculty of Humanities / German Philology.
