SCHOLARSHIP OF MINISTER OF CULTURE AND NATIONAL HERITAGE awarded to a JDU Academic OF chair OF MUSIC

Professor Ewa Grabowska-Lis from the Chair of Music received a creative scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the implementation of the project "Musical interactions. Creators, works, interpretations".

The project aims at promoting and disseminating unknown, contemporary Polish accordion music, originally written for accordion duo and entirely dedicated to the Amalgalis Duo ensemble, which Ewa Grabowska-Lis creates together with her husband Daniel Lis, an academic of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. The authors of the works are both outstanding composers and recognized artists of the young generation. An important objective of the project is also the presentation of the rich sound possibilities of the accordion duo, the latest compositional and performance trends and the band's own interpretations. The project will be implemented at six Polish Academies of Music in: Kraków, Wrocław, Łódź, Poznań, Gdańsk and Katowice.
