On July 3, nearly thirty medalists of the Polish Academic Championships met with the University Authorities, represented by Rector Prof. Anna Wypych-Gawrońska and Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Joanna Warońska-Gęsiarz. The student athletes received congratulations and distinctions for sports achievements and shared their impressions from the competitions in which they represented our University. Words of appreciation were also heard by invited coaches of individual national teams. The meeting was also an opportunity to summarise the participation of JDU students in the completed season of the Polish Academic Championships. This year, our University was represented by 75 students who competed among 129 universities in Poland. Starting in 11 competitions, JDU representatives won a total of eight PAC medals:
- 4 team medals: 3 silver vertical USP - women's futsal (4th overall), men's table tennis, men's beach volleyball; 1 vertical bronze USP - women's volleyball (5th place overall).
- 4 individual medals: silver in the general classification and 2 silver medals in the USP vertical – equestrian; 1 bronze medal in vertical USP - athletics.
