​AWARD FOR DR ANNA IRASIAK


On January 30, 2020, the Museum of Coins and Medals of Pope John Paul II in Czestochowa held an annual meeting of members and supporters of the Regional Employers' Organisation in Czestochowa affiliated with KPPP ‘Lewiatan’. Among the invited guests were: the Mayor of Częstochowa Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, the Rector of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa Professor Anna Wypych-Gawrońska, the Rector of Czestochowa University of Technology Professor Norbert Sczygiol, councillors, members from neighbouring boroughs and, above all, Czestochowa entrepreneurs.

The highlight of the ceremony was granting the Organisation's Awards, which were traditionally presented in eight categories. In the category 'Science - a better future' the achievements of dr Anna Irasiak from the Chair of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Social Sciences of JDU were honoured. The other winners were: Jadwiga Wiśniewska – Member of the European Parliament (Personality of the Year), Jakub Błaszczykowski – an outstanding athlete, philanthropist, the founder of the ‘Human Gesture’ Foundation (Pomagam, bo chcę Foundation), Dariusz Pomada – Head of Mykanów borough (Good city administrator), Krzysztof Rembiszewski - Director at Lavoro Comapny (Częstochowa entrepreneurship), Stanisław Dzwonnik – Head of S. Żeromski Technical School in Częstochowa (School of the future), Consonni - the award was received by President Zdzisław Bartelak (Classy Company) and Dariusz Jadczyk - Częstochowa member of the Main Council of KPPP 'Leviatan (Pro domo sua).

The award for dr Anna Irasiak was granted "for building personal competences to find ways to enable people with disabilities to participate in professional, religious and personal life almost without restrictions resulting from disability".

The Regional Employers' Organisation has been awarding its prizes for years now, but for the first time it has been granted to a person associated with our University. Congratulations!
