Study visit of JDU academics at Ghent University

On 3-9.11 2019 the academics of our University: professor Andrzej Zbrzezny, dr Dorota Gębuś, dr Anna Irasiak, dr Joanna Świątek-Prokop, dr Zbigniew Wieczorek and dr Katarzyna Zalas took part in a study visit at Ghent University (Belgium). The visit was part of the ‘Masters of Didactics’ Programme of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, subsidised with the European Funds within the Operational Programme: Knowledge Education Development, with the support of the European Social Fund. The project aims at the development of didactic strategies & methods of academic tutors, with a particular focus on their excellence in teaching. During the visit, both parts shared and reflected on their teaching experiences and observation, through participation in workshops and tutorials on practical changes and innovative approaches to teaching.

The next part of the project now for the JDU academics – the six project participants is to prepare and implement at JDU teaching tutorials that reflect modern methods of teaching. The outcome of their work will be showcased at a conference that will take place in July 2020. The event will be a great vehicle for JDU academics to provide the representatives of other reputable partner higher education institutions with the feedback of the implemented tutoring system.
