Students of German philology VISIT "HAUS SCHLESIEN"

A long tradition has it, last week students of German philology had the opportunity to spend five days in Germany in Königswinter, near Bonn under the supervision of Professor Elżbieta Pawlikowska-Asendrych and dr Beata Rusek. Our students were guests of Haus Schlesien, an institution promoting the history and culture of Silesia. On Monday, the first day of their stay in Königswinter, they were introduced to the activities and history of Haus Schlesien and visited the museum, which collects and stores Silesian cultural goods. The students also started working on their cultural projects, which they presented at the end of their stay at Haus Schlesien. During the week, they also visited many interesting places, including Haus der Geschichte and Deutsche Welle radio station in Bonn, the famous cathedral in Cologne and Aachen. An interesting point was the visit to the parliament of the German national minority in Eupen in eastern Belgium.
