On January 13, 2020, during a meeting hosted at the Częstochowa Philharmonic, our Rector Professor Anna Wypych-Gawrońska was presented with a special award of distinction by the Mayor of Częstochowa Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk for ‘a huge contribution and commitment to the creation of the University in our City, which undoubtedly affects the academic potential, the development and promotion of Częstochowa even beyond its borders’.
The meeting at the Częstochowa Philharmonic afforded an opportunity to award prizes to graduates of higher education institutions in the competition that is part of the „Akademicka Częstochowa (‘Academic Częstochowa’) programme which aims at promoting innovative design and organisational solutions in the field of urban planning and creating a positive image of Częstochowa with its economic, educational and cultural impact. The graduate of JDU Olga Mysłek was granted a financial award for her bachelor dissertation on ‘Support tools for the circulation of information on activities monitored by public video surveillance systems, as shown by the example of video surveillance of the city of Częstochowa’.
