By the decision of October 28, 2019, the Central Committee for Degrees and Titles granted Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa the right to confer the doctoral degree in musical arts (Doctor of Musical Arts). Meeting all the requirements, our University can conduct doctoral programmes in this discipline. This is the seventh degree JDU is entitled to award.
It is all the more important for us as in Poland such entitlements are assigned only to Art Schools and just two other higher education institutions: Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz and the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. Now, we constitute the third academic centre in Poland, the only one in the southern part of our country, where such a degree can be conferred!
