FACULTY OF LAW & ECONOMICS JOINED INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CONSORTIUM


In accordance with the decision of the European Commission of 17 July 2020, Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa joined international research consortium for the project No. 959198, entitled “De-Radicalisation In Europe And Beyond: Detect, Resolve, And Re-Integrate" as part of the SU-GOVERNANCE-09-2020 HORIZON 2020. The aim of the project is to identify social contexts leading to radicalisation in order to develop recommendations to counter extremism and the resulting violence, and to explore how radicalised individuals can be integrated without violating their rights and freedoms. The grant is coordinated by Glasgow Caledonian University in the United Kingdom and the other beneficiaries are i.a.: Freie Universität Berlin, the University of Belgrade, Ben-Gurion University in Israel, Istanbul University, the University of Florence, Yarmouk University in Jordan, the American University of Paris, Burnel University London, the University of Helsinki and the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The total amount of the grant awarded is €3,058,035. The research is carried out by Professor Bogusław Przywora and Dr Maria Moulin-Stożek.

Horizon 2020 - the EU Framework Programme Horizon 2020 is the largest EU Research and Innovation programme ever. It covers three existing separate programmes to support research at EU level. These are:

- the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development

- the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme

- the activities of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).

A total of €77,028.3 million will be allocated to innovative research and innovative solutions over the course of 7 years (2014-2020).
